Marian J. Hoffmann, age 87, of Oshkosh, died July 20, 2008, at Harbor House,surrounded by her family. She was born on December 10, 1920 to Charles and Ann(Fredrick) Fernau. Marian married Kenneth R. Hoffmann in Christ Lutheran Church onOctober 20, 1945. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1994.Marian was a homemaker and also kept the books for her husband Kens service station,Hoffmanns East Side Service. Later, she worked as a seamstress at Neubergers andKing Industries. In 1989, Marian and Ken moved to their cottage on Marl Lake inWaushara County. In 2003, Marian returned to Oshkosh to live.Marian was a member of Christ Lutheran Church for 45 years until her move toWautoma, when she joined Hope Lutheran Church. Upon her return to Oshkosh sheRejoined Christ Lutheran Church. She was a former member of Elks Ladies Lodge 292and the Wisconsin Sno-Birds of Gulf Shores, Alabama.Marian is survived by her three sons and their families: Laurin Hoffmann and his wifeLisa, of Oshkosh, and their children, Ingrid Hoffmann (Jason Jones), Brooks Hoffmann(Jessica Larivee), and Amanda Hoffmann-Kiesow (Kevin); Lynn Hoffmann ofYoungstown, Ohio; Leon Hoffmann and his wife Susan, of Oshkosh, and their children,Nicole Hoffmann, Britton Domer (Charles), and Matthew Hoffmann (ElizabethMcGoey). Marian is also survived by three great-grandsons, Logan Walter, NolanWalter, and Brady Kiesow, as well as two sisters-in-law, Lorraine Pat Fernau and Clara Ilk. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews and her dear friend Dorothy Gayhardt.Marian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, CharlesFernau.Marian was a kind, caring woman who always made others feel loved. Her gentle natureand sense of humor endeared her to all.Funeral services for Marian Hoffmann will be held on (TODAY) Tuesday, July 22 at 6:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside). Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.until the time of the service. Rev. Eric Quinney-Burnard will officiate.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hope Lutheran Church or Christ LutheranChurch.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the compassionate caregivers ofHarbor House and Aurora Hospice.
