Marietta Meta Butt

Marietta M. Butt, 89, of Oshkosh, died Friday April 6, 2007, at Bethel Home. She was born September 10, 1917 in Wentworth, South Dakota a daughter of William and Edith Guenther Mellentine. On November 20, 1937 she married Carl Butt in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on June 30, 1986.She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, playing bingo at Bethel Home, and spending time with her grandchildren.She is survived by one daughter Barbara(Douglas) Gunz, two sons Bill(Marlene) Butt, Robert(Lori) Butt all of Oshkosh, four grandchildren, Michelle, Annie Brian, Dan, six great-grandchildren Kathleen, Jamie, Heidi, Erika, Cole, Jacob, two nephews Roger Ernst, and Ronald Ernst, one niece Beverly Belkye, two sisters-in-law Ruth Konrad, Florence Raddatz, cousins and friends.She was preceded in death by two brothers Donald and Wilbur.Funeral services will be held on Monday April 9, 2007 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-West at 7 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Krueger officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Scheller Cemetery.A memorial has been established.A special thank you to Bethel Home for their wonderful care and to Dr. Knier for his care of Marietta.
