Marilyn A. Rogge, 81, of Oshkosh, passed away on June 6, 2018 in Palm Coast, Florida. She was born in Illinois on July 20, 1936 to the late Malcolm and Margaret (Slocum) Seay. After graduating from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Il, Marilyn began teaching in Oshkosh, later earning her Master’s degree from UW Madison. She taught Honors English and Drama for over 35 years. Marilyn married John Rogge in 1980.
Marilyn was an advisor for both the Kiwanis Key Club and AFS Intercultural Programs. She was an avid supporter of The Grand Oshkosh, serving on the original Grand Opera House restoration board and for over 25 years has served on the City of Oshkosh Grand Opera House advisory board. Being active in all aspects of local theatre, she took on acting roles, assisted with theatrical make-up. Marilyn played piano for many productions including productions from Oshkosh High School, Junior Theatre, and Oshkosh Community Players. She and John enjoyed spending time together entertaining at club functions, parties, and nursing homes.
Marilyn will be missed by her loving husband of 37 years, John, their fur baby, Buddy, and a great support system of friends and church family in Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Mac Seay.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 13th, 2018 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Lake View Memorial Park.
