Marilyn L. Draeger, age 94, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022, in Oshkosh WI. Marilyn was born on July 29, 1927, to Arthur K. and Edna A. (Muscavitch) Abraham. She married Byron Draeger on September 9, 1950.Marilyn was a member at Trinity Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Ladies Aide Society for many years. She had a strong, lifelong faith in God. We know she is now resting in the arms of Jesus. Before her children were born Marilyn worked as a seamstress at Neuberger Company where she was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She retired when her children were born. After her children were older Marilyn worked part time at Burr’s Food King, retiring from there to care for her grandchildren. Marilyn enjoyed baking, sewing, playing scrabble, doing puzzles, and taking bus trips with Trinity Tours, while she was able.
Marilyn is survived her husband, Byron; one son, Carl (Mary) Draeger; one daughter, Loretta Bunke; three grandchildren, Sarah (Jason) Wenzel, Douglas (Carly) Draeger, Brielle (Jamie) Meisel; and eight great grandchildren, Evan and Abby Paque, Tyler, Bentley, J.J., and Kallie Wenzel, and Emerie and Berklee Draeger.In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence (Helen) Abraham and grandson, Brannon Bunke.
A funeral service for Marilyn will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 11:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church (370 Bowen St, Oshkosh, WI 54901). Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Oshkosh WI.The family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at Evergreen Creekview South where she was lovingly cared for over 3 years. Memorials can be made to Evergreen Retirement Community.
