Marina A. Bratley, age 55, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at her residence. She was born on April 11, 1961, to Alexander and Alla (Radchenko) Burmistrov in Tallinn, Estonia. She was married to Douglas Bratley in May 1995 in Green Lake, WI.Marina was a very strong individual and was always ready to help those in need; without expecting any reward. She helped others for the sake of human dignity. She loved her children and did everything in her power to ensure they had a good life without the struggles she endured. Against all odds, Marina overcame any challenge she was faced with. She loved animals and contributed money, time and energy to help several animal shelters. Marina helped care for some of the stray dogs in Sochi, Russia and was able to raise money to bring them to Canada where they were given to families who could care for them properly. She even had a dog named after her for her love and efforts.In 1999 she put forth the effort to gather money to help one little Russian girl Angel Volkova to get much needed medical treatment in the USA.Marina is survived by her husband: Doug Bratley; sons: Roman and Timur Oljushkin; the father of her sons: Yuriy Oljushkin; grandson: Nicholi; mother: Alla; mother in law: Isabel Bratley; and step-children: Ann Bratley, April Behnke, Wesley Bratley, Jason Bratley and Tom Williams Jr. She was preceded in death by her father in law Arden Bratley and her aunt Nona Radchenko.Her tragic death was a shock to her family and she will be dearly missed.A memorial service for Marina will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- (Westside). Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
