Marion Genevieve Sanders

Marion Genevieve Sanders, 91, of Oshkosh passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2006 at Pleasant Acres. She was born in Bonetrail, North Dakota on July 12, 1915 the daughter of Roy Harold and Bessie Luella (Wolverton) Mantz. She was married 70 years to John Everett Sanders who passed away in May of 2004.Marion was a member Trinity Episcopal Church in Oshkosh, a member of the Wisconsin Womens Bowling Association; she received her Grand Duchess award in 1987, was a Girl Scout Assistant leader for three years and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends. She also loved Bingo and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her son, James (Judy) Sanders of Green Bay; two daughters, Beverly (Peter) Olsen of Oshkosh, Marianne (Paul) Golay of Appleton; four grandchildren, Melinda (Jon) Burns of Sun Prairie, Jeff and Janet Sanders of Green Bay, Christina Golay of Oshkosh; six great grandchildren, Ryan, Nicholas, and Emily Burns, Abbigail and Cody Kjemhus and Rebecca Waldecker; a brother-in-law, Russell (Margaret) Sanders of Oshkosh along with other nieces, nephews and cousins. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, John; her son, Ronald Ronnie Alvin Sanders and a grandson, Matthew Paul Golay. Family and friends may call at Trinity Episcopal Church (311 Division Street – Oshkosh) on Saturday, September 16, 2006 from 11:00 a.m. to the service time. The funeral service for Marion will then be held at 1:00 p.m at the church with Fr. Steven Powers officiating Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.
