Marion Louise Beck

Marion L. Beck, 82, Oshkosh, passed away Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was born April 7, 1933, in Oshkosh, the daughter of William and Rose (Grout) Messerschmidt. She grew up on the farm in the Pickett and Ring area. She married Armond Beck on January 21, 1950, and was happily married for over 65 years. She was a homemaker who loved cooking and baking for her family and was known for her fabulous Christmas cookies, candies, salsa, and nuts and bolts made to order. She worked as a floral designer at Fugelberg and Flister Florists for many years. Marion was a past president of the Elks Ladies and currently chaired the Sunshine Committee there. She also enjoyed her monthly Buck Up card club spending more time laughing and joking than playing cards.Marion is survived by her husband, Armond; sons: Jeff (Michele) Beck and Troy Beck; a daughter, Nancy Beck; grandchildren: Ty (Heidi) and Ondrea Beck ; great grandchildren: Odin, Piper, and Willah Beck, and Odessa Reed; sisters: Joyce (Jim) Garno and Carol Fredrick; brothers-in-law: Lyle (Mae), Howard (Jane), Russell (Lorraine)Beck, and Mike Sawall; sisters-in-law: Phyllis Beck and Jean Beck; her beloved chocolate Cocker Spaniel, Snickers; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by brothers and sisters in law: Clark (Betty) and Benjamin (Wally) Messerschmidt; Romy (Thelma) Schmitz, Bud Beck, Earl (Betty) Beck, Arlene Sawall, Roger Fredrick and Wayne Beck.Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside (100 Lake Pointe Drive), with Rev. John Worzala-Dumke officiating. Interment will be in Ellenwood Cemetery, Oshkosh. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.The family would like to thank the DaVita Staff for all their kindness and care they gave to Marion.
