Marion Meta Thiel

Marion M. Thiel, age 89, passed away peacefully early Friday evening, February 27, 2015. She was born in Oshkosh on October 6, 1925 to Berthold and Meta (Hoffmann) Thiel.Marion was a lifelong and faithful member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and a member of the Daughters of Sarah.She was a hard worker and while having several jobs over her lifetime, retired from Brickham Stamping Company.It was always Marions wish that she would be able to stay in her home the home she was born in and God granted her that wish. She loved to travel, spend time with her sisters, enjoy the outdoors, and watch the birds that would flock to the feeder outside her window.Survivors include her sister, June Breager of Oshkosh and a brother in law, Carl Merkel of Marinette. Marion is further survived by 22 nieces and nephews and she dearly loved each and every one of them.She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Lorraine Merkel, Edith Dahms, Clara Houge, Susan Bartel; one brother Richard, and fianc Arthur Schram.A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-(Westside) with Rev. Andi Wolf officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.The family wishes to thank the staff of Hospice Advantage for the special care given to Marion these past months.
