Marion Pauline Nimmer

Marion Pauline Nimmer died peacefully April 18, 2010 at the age of 91 years. Preceded in death by beloved husband, William Sr., and her parents (Oswald Reitz and Ella nee Hildebrandt), sister (Florence Helm), and sister-in-law (Elnora Graffen).The daughter of a proud Wisconsin cheesemaker, Marion worked in the family business at Sunlite Dairy for many years--a place well known to Oshkosh residents not only for its ice cream, but its championship softball teams. If kindness could take a human persona, this was Marion. Dedicated to her beloved husband of 66 years and her two boys, she created a home of love and caring. She shared the same qualities with thousands of students at Merrill Elementary School where she was the school secretary and befriended children in need for 24 years. Sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson who will always hold her dear in their hearts. Special thanks to the compassionate staff at Luther Manor at River Oaks, Thiensville, Wisconsin, for their love and caring support to Marion these last two years. They delivered the highest standards of Christian love to our mother.Loving mother of Bill Jr. (Bettye) of Mequon, WI and Bruce of Brooklyn Park, MN, and caring grandmother of Jeremy (Cinda), Andrew, Reid (Brenda), Calen, and great-grandmother of Joseph Jasper. Loved also by other relatives and friends.A visitation will be held Wednesday 10:30-11:30 at Martin Luther Church in Oshkosh (1526 Algoma Blvd.) followed by funeral services officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Berg. There will be a reception lunch at the church. Internment to be at Lake View Memorial Park. If desired, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the Martin Luther School library fund would be welcomed.
