Marion V. Emerson, 83, of Oshkosh, was called to her heavenly home on May 26, 2014. She joins her beloved husband, Raymond, who preceded her into eternal life on July 15, 2002. Marion was born on October 21, 1930 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Frank and Viola (nee Techlow) Kruse Maslowski. On February 17, 1951 she married Raymond E. Emerson at the First Evangelical United Brethren by the Rev. James Verduin. They were married for 51 years.Marion was a member of the First United Methodist Church and their Miriam Circle. She was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Chapter 17, where she was Commander, a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 70 where she was past President and Treasurer, and was a member of the Mercy Medical Center Auxiliary and Volunteer and was also a member of the Oshkosh Public Museum Auxiliary. Marion enjoyed traveling with Raymond, crafting and collecting Angels. She also enjoyed making special treats for her friends and spending time with them. Marion will be remembered for her sense of humor and her smile that made her eyes light up. Some time ago, Marion had been told friendships are like Angels, they put a twinkle in your eyes. Maybe thats why her eyes lighten up (Twinkle), Friends! Marion gave of herself through small acts of kindness. She made fudge and cookies for her special friends and also gave of herself to help others. She also enjoyed being in the company of special friends, Jean Fuller and Sharron Steinbruner.Survivors include a brother, John Maslowski of Oshkosh; one sister, Dorothy Hilgendorf of New Berlin; a sister-in-law, Delores Kruse of Oshkosh; and nine nieces and nine nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Viola, a brother, Ralph Kruse, a sister, Phyllis Klitzke and the love of her life, Raymond, who she will now be together again with in Heaven.Funeral services for Marion will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr.), with the Rev. John Hobbins officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Following the service, cremation will take place and graveside services will be held at the time of interment at Riverside Cemetery, with her husband, Raymond, at her side.In lieu of flowers, memorials in Marions name would be appreciated to the Evergreen Care Assurance Fund, United Cerebral Palsy or the Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin-Fox Valley.Then the angel showed meThe river of the water of life, As clear as crystal,Flowing from the throne of God.
