Marjorie (Grose) Siewert, age 84, passed away on Friday, June 15 at Park View Health Center. Marge was an artistic, creative person who cared about her family with her whole heart. Her constant support will be sincerely missed.
Marge‘s greatest pleasures in life revolved around her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was an inventive person who was always willing to lend a hand on any project. Her artistic side was obvious in many ways. Cake decorating, crafts, sewing, painting, coloring intricate designs, and many other projects were activities she enjoyed. Her mind never stopped being fascinated by seeing and creating wonderful things.
Before becoming a full-time homemaker and mom, Marge worked at Noffke Lumber, where she met her husband of 61 years, Bill Siewert. They were married August 4, 1956 at St. John’s Catholic Parish in Oshkosh, where they were loyal members for many years. They raised a family, and lived in the home they built before they were married for almost 60 years.
Marge is survived by two daughters Ann Knaus and Kim (Pat) Wallace. She is also survived by three grandchildren Maci Wallace, Eric (Amanda) Wallace, and Derek (Amy) Kloiber, son-in-law Russ Kloiber, brother and sister-in-law Jim (Carol) Grose, sister-in-law Arlene Grose, sister-in-law Bonnie (Dan) Laux, two great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Marge was preceded in death by her husband Bill, daughter Lynn Kloiber, parents Lester and Jean Grose, mother and father-in-law Ray and Maxine Siewert, two brothers Dick and Bob Grose, sister Janet (Bob) Zelke, and brother-in-law Gus Siewert.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to special friends Sister Kathleen Mlinar and Sister Carol Jean Peterson for their weekly visits, wonderful company, and true dedication. Marge greatly looked forward to the times they spent together. Marge’s family is also indebted to the staff of Prairieside 2 at Park View Health Center. They became a second family, and showed many acts of genuine kindness and love to Marge during the time she lived at PVHC. Their faithfulness will not be forgotten.
