Marjorie J. Hoffman

Marjorie J. Hoffman Marge, age 93, passed away on Friday June 7, 2013 at Park View Health Center. She was born in Oshkosh on May 16, 1920 to John and Flora Bartels Rhyner. On February 25, 1944 she married Lawrence Hoffman in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2003. A 1941 graduate of Mercy School of Nursing, Marjorie was employed as a registered nurse in various nursing fields and retired in 1983 from the UW-Oshkosh Student Health Center. She resided at Gabriels Villa for 3 years prior to moving to Park View Health Center in May 2012. Marjorie was a faithful member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ.She is survived by two sons John(Diane) Hoffman, Jim(Jane) Hoffman all of Oshkosh, one daughter Margie Ann Hoffman of Banning, CA., as well as 3 grandchildren Jennifer(Jarrod Billings) Hoffman of Madison, Sarah(Matt) Kramer of Grafton, Nicholas(Kristi) Hoffman of Appleton, a sister Elaine Plank of Garden Grove, CA., and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her husband of 59 years she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Roger Rhyner, a sister Wanda Rhyner, sister-in-law Jane Rhyner, and brother-in-law Robert Plank.Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Eastside with Rev. Andi Wolf officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at noon. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park immediately following the service. A memorial to Emmanuel United Church of Christ has been established.The Hoffman family would like to thank the caring and thoughtful staffs at Gabriels Villa and Park View Health Center-Woodside North for providing excellent and compassionate care to mom.
