Marjorie Loraine Van Haren

Marjorie L. Van Haren, 86, of Oshkosh, died peacefully on Saturday, March 24th, 2012 surrounded by her children at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on November 6th, 1925 in Madison, a daughter of Walter G. and Loraine C. (Rasmussen) Hinze. On July 3rd, 1948 she married Ralph Van Haren in Oshkosh, and they spent 61 years enjoying life together.Marge was a loving wife and mother. Her boundless energy for lifes simple pleasures brought smiles to all around her. Living and travelling the United States with her late husband Ralph was the joy of her life. For 30 years they lived in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania before moving back to Oshkosh in 2006 to be closer to family. Marge graduated from Oshkosh State Teachers College and taught elementary school for many years. She loved playing bridge, doing cross stitch, gourmet cooking and watching sports. Since moving back to Oshkosh she looked forward to fishin at Jeffs on Rugby where she and her family and friends had many good times.She is survived by her two sons, William (Gail) Van Haren, of Blue Mounds, David (Monica) of Nazareth, PA.; one daughter,r Becky (Walter) Tiles of Oshkosh; her brother, Dr. William J.(Marilyn) Hinze; one brother-in-law, John Van Haren of West Bend; and four grandchildren, Lena (Paul) Cifka, Carl Van Haren, Kenneth Van Haren, and Rebecca McCulloch. She was preceded in death by her husband, her mother, and her father.Funeral services for Marge will be held on Monday, March 26th, 2012 at 4pm at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside with Rev. Tom Willadsen officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:30 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be on Tuesday morning at Lake View Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff at Evergreen Manor and Mercy Medical Center for their exceptional care.
