Mark L. Ruedinger

November 26, 1931 — February 4, 2012

Mark L. Ruedinger, 80, of Oshkosh died peacefully at his home on Saturday February 4, 2012. He was born in the Town of Nekimi to the late Ben and Leona (Langkau) Ruedinger. Mark married Cecilia Koelbl on May 12, 1956 at St. Vincent Church. Mark worked as a milkman at the Cowen Dairy, was an auto mechanic for Dahl Ford, REA Express, and Oshkosh Shipping Association. From there he then began his own business, Marks Tire and Auto. Besides the love that he had for his family, he had a love for the outdoors. Mark farmed the family homestead and his enjoyment in life was collecting and restoring tractors. He was a member of the Pickett Steam and Gas Engine Club, Central Wisconsin Auto Collectors, and Van Dyne Lions Club. His memories will be cherished by his wife Cele; son Daniel (Mary) Ruedinger, grandchildren Mark, Ben, Clare, and Ian of Oak Creek; daughter Karen (Steve) Holdorf, Oshkosh, granddaughters Nicole, Oshkosh and Sarah, Milwaukee; son Chris (Jill) Ruedinger, Oshkosh, grandchildren Beau (special friend Lindsey) Doemel, Oshkosh and Dannielle (Matt) Coats, great-grandchildren Blandon and Bristol, Sparta; a brother Stanley (Rosie) Ruedinger, Van Dyne; sister-in-law Bev Ruedinger, Oshkosh; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Emma, a brother Raymond, sisters Irene (Bert) Hallman and Florence (Edward) Palecek, and an infant sister Alice Ruedinger. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday February, 8, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Parish-St. Vincent Church, Rev. James Jugenheimer officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday Feb. 7th at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside from 4-7 p.m. and at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Marks family would like to thank the staffs at Oakwood Fresenius Dialysis Center and Theda Care Hospice for all the care they had given him.
