Marlene E. Halsey

Marlene E. Halsey, 70, of Oshkosh died Wednesday September 19, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center. Marlene was born June 29, 1942 in Oshkosh a daughter of Merle and Ione Rothe. She married David Halsey on September 24, 1960 in Oshkosh. She had worked at Miles Kimball Co. for 20 years before retiring and was a member of the Ladies Elks #292. She enjoyed camping every weekend for over 30 years at Pearl Lake. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Marlene is survived by her husband, David Halsey; a son, Barry (Dawn) Halsey; two daughters, Brenda Halsey (Mark) and Barbie (Bob) Krause; two grandchildren, Jamie (Travis) Smithlin and David Halsey; three great-grandchildren, Alyssah Smithlin, Abagail Smithlin, and Avah Smithlin; seven brothers, Ronald (Sandy) Rothe, Arlin (Paula) Rothe, Larry (Carol) Rothe, Fred (Deanna) Rothe, Darrel (Jean) Rothe, Neil (Sue) Rothe, and Leonard (Sue) Rothe; three sisters, Carla (Charles) Jefferis, Doris (Donald) Fellwock, and Karen (Loren) Rangeloff; two sisters-in-law, Glenna Rothe and Marlene Pat Klinger; two brothers-in-law, Richard (Betty) Morgan and James Morgan; and many special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard Rothe. A memorial service for Marlene will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, Rev. Greg Decker officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. Marlenes family would like to thank the staff at Mercy Medical Center for all the wonderful help and care they received.
