Marlene Jean Krause, age 76 of Oshkosh, passed away at Frontida Assisted Living: Adelaide Place in Fond du Lac on January 19, 2025. Marlene was born in Oshkosh on November 19, 1948 to the late Leonard and Lorraine (Mueller) Neubauer.
She married Timothy Krause on September 23, 1967, and together they raised two sons, Tim and Mike. Marlene was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Many will also remember her as a familiar face at Duo Safety Ladder, where she worked for several years.
Marlene had a green thumb, always bringing joy with her love of flowers. She enjoyed simple pleasures like walking to Leon’s for their famous chocolate custard, assembling jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and expressing her creativity through arts and crafts. A true homebody at heart, she cherished cozy moments at home.
Marlene is survived by her sons, Tim (Kimberly) and Mike Krause; grandchildren, Felicia (Ryan) Krause-Lint and Izabelle Krause; great-grandson, Isaiah Lint; brother, Keith (Eunice) Neubauer. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces-and-nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Krause; grandson, Timothy Krause; brothers, Leonard “Butch” and Jim Neubauer.
A funeral service for Marlene will be held at the Lake View Memorial Park chapel, 2786 Algoma Blvd. on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be held in the chapel from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Private burial will take place.
