Marvin R. Blanchard, age 72 of Oshkosh, passed away at Ascension Mercy Hospital on Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was born in Oshkosh to the late Harold and Bernice (Rumlow) Blanchard. Marvin served in the United States Navy, serving on the USS Tripoli during Vietnam before serving in the Reserves. He married Jean Wolf on December 8, 1973.
He was a sports fanatic who enjoyed watching the Packers, Brewers, Bucks, and most importantly, watching his granddaughter’s softball games!
Marvin is lovingly survived by his wife, Jean Blanchard; sons, Jim (Kim) and Jake Blanchard; granddaughters: Saraah, Faith, Kaylee, Kaylianna, Mya, Aliyah, and Sophie; siblings, Pam (Clyde) Gruse, Gail (Daniel) Carrick, Ron Blanchard, June Zentner, Joyce (Bob) Wiles, Nadeen (Curtis), Duane, Darrell and Tim Blanchard. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and brother-in-law, Jim (Marylin) Wolf.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant daughter, Anna Marie, and sister, Karen Curtis.
Private graveside services will be held.
