Mary Ann Huebner

Mary Ann Huebner, age 91, passed away at Bethel Home on January 12, 2025 after a short illness. She was born July 5, 1933, the 9th of 11 children, to the late Stanley and Gertrude Marhefke. Mary married Harold Huebner on July 20, 1963. They resided in Oshkosh until 1993 when a move was made to build a home on Pelican Lake in Wisconsin.

She graduated from Wisconsin State College in Oshkosh in 1961, with a degree in elementary education. After graduation she taught in: Manitowoc Public Schools, Appleton Public Schools, and lastly Central School in Ripon, retiring in May 1992.

After retirement she and Harold traveled throughout the United States in a "fifth wheel" until his death in 2003. Mary then moved back to Oshkosh to be near family and friends. She found joy in continuing to travel through senior center trips, gardening, attending Red Hat meetings and avidly supporting the Packers.

Mary is survived by her sister, Elenore Francis; brother, Stan (Mary) Marhefke; stepson, Randy (Cathy) Huebner; Randy and Cathy's sons, Kraig and Kyle; grandchildren, Kennedy and Kasen. To them she was affectionately known as "Grandma Mary". There are 27 of 32 nieces and nephews currently living. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond, Cliff, Ralph, and Bernie; sisters, Regina, Helen, Gertrude, and Joanie.

The family would like to extend a Thank You to her special friends: Jean Kabat and Dona Rager and a deep appreciation to Moments Hospice.

The day which we recognize as our last is but our birthday into eternity with the Lord.

A memorial service for Mary will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S Westhaven Dr, Oshkosh, at 10:30am, with Fr. Tom Long officiating. There will be a time of visitation starting at 9:00am till the start of the service.

A memorial is being established in Mary's name.
