Mary Ann Muhich

Mary Ann Muhich, of Oshkosh, died June 12, 2012 at home after a short illness, surrounded by her family. She was born December 17, 1936 in Eveleth, MN to Anthony and Mary Petik. She graduated from the College of St. Scholastica, Duluth, MN and enjoyed a long, fulfilling career as a registered nurse. She married James Muhich in 1960 and settled in Oshkosh in the early 1960s where they raised their family. She is survived by her husband, Jim, daughters Dr. Janet Muhich (granddaughters Abby and Alina Galyon) Binghamton, NY, Sharon (James) Ihrig (granddaughters Elizabeth and Sarah), Cross Plains, WI and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Petik and daughter, Amy Muhich.Mary was a faithful member of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (St Peters Church), a Eucharistic Minister to shut-ins, a passionate bridge player, a long-time volunteer at St. Vincent de Paul Society and loved traveling, hiking trips and vacations with family (and friends) in Door County. She especially enjoyed time spent with her four granddaughters.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on June 20, 2012 at the Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (St Peters Church) at 11:00 a.m.with Father Peter Muhich officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 9:00a.m.until time of the service.
