Mary Frances Norton

Mary F. Norton, 85, of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Thursday January 12, 2012. Mary was born on April 7, 1926 in Fond du Lac to Peter and Frances James. She worked for several different companies through out her life and retired from the Square D Corporation in 1998. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply. She enjoyed being with all her family and friends, playing cards and other games of chance. She was an avid bowler earlier in her life and especially enjoyed boating with her husband Eldon Norton. She was a past member of the Fond du Lac Yacht Club and the Oshkosh Southside Yacht Club, where she and Eldon served in roles ranging to Commodore of each Club. Mary always took immense pride in her Greek Heritage.Mary is survived by her sons Carl(Marlene) Wegner of West Bend, John(Susie) Wegner of Rhinelander, and a daughter Donna Jungwirth of Oshkosh, five grandchildren Sean Wegner, Cassie Stadler, Cory Wegner, Adrienne(Drew) Bartell, and Hunter Mullhollon, great-grandchildren Emily Stadler and Caitlin Wegner, two brothers James James and John(Marlene) James, two sisters Bessie Albrecht and Helen(Gordon) Rose and one brother-in-law Glenn Johnson. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eldon Norton in 1992, her first husband Carl Wegner, her daughter Paula Jean Norton, son-in-law Dennis Jungwirth, sisters Polly Zenter, Ann Johnson, a brother Ernest James, sisters-in-law Demetra James, Mary James and Diana James, brothers-in-law Eugene Zentner and Arno Albrecht.A private service will be held this week with the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorials to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
