Mary Jane Diener

Mary Jane Diener, 81, of Oshkosh, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016. She was born to the late Julius and Gertrude (Bremer) Christensen on April 11, 1935 in Bear Creek. She married Dennis Diener on September 29, 1956 in Bear Creek, he preceded her in death on March 23, 1980. Mary later met her special friend, Ted Fink who also preceded her in death on October 16, 2007. Mary was a homemaker throughout life. She loved cooking and she could always be found making something in the kitchen. Her dumplings were a family favorite. She also enjoyed bingo, music and dancing, happy hour at Bethel Home, traveling to Florida, and watching Steve Harvey on television. Christmas Eve had always been Marys holiday. It was the holiday everyone was brought together and celebrated.Mary will be greatly missed by her children: Connie (Richard) Jones, Gary (Sheila) Diener, Karen (Kiel) Oesterreich, Debbie (William) Schoonover, Sharon Sharpless and special friend Joel, and Robert (Kristi) Diener. Mary is further survived by eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and siblings: Violet, Fern, Floyd and Rose.She was preceeded in death by her husband, Dennis Diener; Brothers: Eugene, Ken, Jack, Dick and Harry as well as her special friend, Ted Fink.A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes, Westside (100 Lake Pointe Dr.). Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.Marys family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staff and residents of Bethel Home for the love and care they gave Mary and her family.
