Matthew M. Brand

Matthew M. Brand, age 58, passed away after a battle with cancer, surrounded by family on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, WI. He was born on June 1, 1965, in Oshkosh to the late Marlin and Ramona (Mand Boynton) Brand. He was united in marriage to Kristina Seefeldt on December 10, 2003, in Las Vegas.

Matthew was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. He always enjoyed being apart of the church’s adult choir and the school board for several years. Matthew’s schooling took place first at Grace Lutheran School for grade school and at Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac where he graduated in the class of 1983. He worked several years at EAA, and Mail List Processing. From there he went to 4imprint where he has worked for the past 15 plus years of his life. Most recently he worked part-time at Walmart. He enjoyed singing, DJing, and hosting karaoke. He has always loved legos, Batman, Star Wars, and Stephen King books. He loved to spend free time with family; either playing board games, cards, going on walks, watching movies, or even just talking out on the back porch. He would always sit on the back porch and watch the water and all of the animals. Matthew was strong in his faith throughout his whole life. He walked in his faith with his Savior by his side. He just loved his entire family and anything to do with family.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Kristina Brand; children: Anthony (Jaysa) Taylor, Jack (Brooke Mongan) Taylor, Alexis (Austin McQuay) Taylor, Emily Brand, Abigail Brand; grandchildren: Carson, Sebastian, and Lincoln Taylor and baby girl Ava-Lynn on the way; brothers: David (Lori) Brand, Tom (Judy) Brand, Bill (Laurie) Brand; sisters: Mary (Mark) Grubbs, Amy (Norm) Spiegel; father and mother-in-law, Chuck and Barb Lakefield; grandmother-in-law, Marjorie Voruda, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin and Ramona Brand.

A memorial service for Matthew will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church, 913 Nebraska Street, Oshkosh. Visitation will take place on Tuesday at the church from 4:00 pm until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home to assist with the cost of services.
