Maureen Miller Reifer

Maureen Miller Reifer, age 72, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at The Residence at Oshkosh. She was born in Milwaukee on December 7, 1950 to the late Ralph and Patricia (Harney) Miller. Maureen was united in marriage to Steven Reifer on January 20, 1995.

Maureen worked as a caregiver most of her life. Her caring nature was reflected in all that she did and towards those she came in contact with. She was a social butterfly who loved to greet visitors of the assisted living home with a warm smile. Maureen loved nature and animals. She had a deep appreciation for music; a love that she shared with her son, Jim.

Maureen is survived by her children, Jim (Jessie) Wiles and Shannon (Josh) Schuren; grandchildren, Jim Jr., Caleb, Zack, Cameron, Emma and Ari; sister, Patty (Bob) Miller-Palmer; cousin, Joanie “Joan” (Greg) Gnadt, and many others; good friend, Mary Jansen “Mouse”.

In addition to her parents, Maureen was preceded in death by her husband, Steven Reifer; son, Adam Reifer; cousins, Tom Harney and Rose Ann Harney.

A memorial service for Maureen will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 pm until the time of the service. Inurnment at Riverside Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Thank you to the wonderful staff of The Residence at Oshkosh for making Maureen feel right at home while in your care. The loving care provided to Maureen throughout her time there was unmatched. Also, thank you to ProMedica Hospice for the compassion shown to Maureen during her final days.
