Mavis M. Eppinger

Mavis M. Eppinger, age 96 of Oshkosh, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was born on May 10, 1921 in Oshkosh, the daughter of the late Stephen and Ida (Ziebel) Boese. Mavis was married to Alvin Steinert and later married Joseph Eppinger on October 31, 1953. She worked as an assembler at SNC Manufacturing for over 30 years retiring at the age of 86. Mavis enjoyed bowling, going to the casino and watching her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Larry Steinert, two daughters: Barbara Eppinger and Nancy (Sam) Nett; seven grandchildren: Missy, Larry Jr., Debbie, David (Kathy), Mary Jo (Jason), Joey (Jessie) and Jimmy; 8 great-grandchildren, one sister, Doris Otto, and three nieces: Sandy, Sue and Stacey. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph and brother-in-law, Dick Otto.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave, with Pastor Brad Dokken officiating. Friends and family may gather at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service. Interment will take place in Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Oshkosh.
Mavis’ family would like to extend a sincere thanks to the nurses on the second floor at Mercy Medical Center, Affinity Visiting Nurses Hospice, and her grandchildren, Jimmy and Mary Jo, for their care of her at her home. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
