Maynard A. Schneider, age 91, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Elijahs Place in Oshkosh WI. He was born on August 13, 1923 in Kewaunee, WI, the son of the late Julius and Marie (Berg) Schneider. He was a WWII veteran. While in the service he married Lula Jackson on September 11, 1944 in Abilene, TX. She passed away in 1989. In 1995 he was reunited with his high school sweetheart, Joyce Dieball Ehrenberg, and they were married on December 10, 1995. Maynard was a valued and dedicated employee who worked and traveled for Wisconsin Axle and Rockwell International retiring in 1983. He was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where he served on the Church Council, Board of Elders, and was an usher. He volunteered for 25 years at Mercy Hospital in Oshkosh. Maynard was a very caring and generous man who supported many charities. He is survived by a sister-in-law, Kaye Schneider; her children, Michael Schneider and Mark Schneider; nephew, Roger (Jeanne) Schneider; loving niece in law Beverly Schneider who was his primary healthcare giver for the past ten years; her and Rogers children, Kathy Cowell and Peter Schneider; niece in law Bonnie Schneider and her daughters, Rene Mueller and Christine Schneider. He is also survived by many other dear family and friends.Maynard was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; a brother and sister-in-law, Julius and Harriett Schneider; brother Delwin Schneider; a nephew, David Schneider; and niece, Linda Schneider.A special thank you to the head nurse Mallory Mueller and activity director Tera Toonen at Ejijahs Place for making Maynard feel deeply loved and at home. Thanks also to Agnesian HealthCare Hospice Hope from Fond du lac. They gave wonderful aide and service this past month to Maynard.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (1206 Ontario St. Oshkosh) with Pastor Paul Lidtke officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from10:00a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Lakeview Memorial Park in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Elijahs Place where Maynard resided for the past two years.Maynard lived by this Biblical quote, Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
