Merry Jo Wing

Merry Jo Wing, age 65 of Oshkosh, passed away at Evergreen Retirement Community on Friday, July 30, 2021. She was born on December 24, 1955 in West Bend to the late Marvin and Delores (Proeber) Huberty.

Throughout Merry’s life, she worked for Social Services. She enjoyed playing scrabble, and other card games, as well as traveling. She had a love for snowmen and had a vast collection of them!

Merry is lovingly survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Kalib) Hays; grandchildren, Andrew, Zachary and Lily Hays; siblings, David (Gail) Huberty, Diana Huberty, Nancy Ogombe; brother-in-law, Greg Christiansen; niece, Heather Biszak; nephews, Berne Christiansen and Phillip Huberty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Karen Christiansen; brother-in-law, Cliff Ogombe; niece, Jena Christiansen; nephew, Peter Ogombe; former husband, Steven Wing; and grandparents Joseph and Helen Huberty, and John and Martha Proeber.

Private services will be held by family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Merry’s name can be made to Camp Nejeda; a summer camp for children with type 1 diabetes and their families.
