Michael J. Pahlow

Michael J. “Mike” Pahlow, 66, of the Town of Vinland, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 25, 2017. He was born March 20, 1951, in Oshkosh a son of the late Alfred and Loretta Bernhard Pahlow. Mike married Judith L. “Judy” Gibson on August 14, 1971, in Oshkosh. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2002.
Mike had farmed in the Town of Vinland all his life. He enjoyed stock car racing, tractor pulls, deer hunting, crop checking, visiting with friends and neighbors in the shop, and especially supporting his grandchildren in all of their activities.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Michele “Missy” (Robert “Jim”) Grundman of Neenah and their children Jacob and Leah; his son, James “Jim” Pahlow of Neenah; his sister, Pat (David) Golliher of Oshkosh and their sons, Scot (Nacia) Golliher and their son D.J. and Eric (Sandy) Golliher; a special friend, Barb Swift; four sisters-in-law and their families; many neighbors, friends, and his numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy and a brother, Paul.
A memorial service for Mike will be held Monday, October 2, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with the Rev Markus Wegenast (First Untited Methodist Church - Appleton) officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the service. Inurnment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
Mike recently finished harvesting his crop of soybeans and planting winter wheat and looked over a field and stated “my work is done”.
Mike’s family thanks the Town of Vinland First Responders for their immediate response-you did all you could-God wanted him. Mike had a passion for helping people. He was truly one in a million and touched the lives of everyone he met. His passion of helping others still continues by donating tissue, eyes, and bones to help those in need.
Mike’s children and grandchildren were the world to him.
