Michael J. Paddy Doyle of Oshkosh, formerly of Marinette, died on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 after a courageous battle with cancer. At Mikes side at the time of his death was his long time love Patricia Blackburn, grandson Zack and his beloved herd of cats. Patricia took special care of Mike during his battle with cancer. Mike was born in Marinette, WI, August 28, 1943 to Peter and Jane Doyle who preceded him in death. Mike was the oldest of a large Irish family and was very proud of his heritage. Michael had a passion for aviation, entering the Air Force after graduating from Marinette Catholic Central. Mike spent four years in the Air Force stationed in England. His passion led him to spend some time working for EAA and most recently volunteering for Air Venture activities. Mike was a voracious reader who could consume books at a phenomenal rate and had an uncanny ability to retain what he read. He could speak with knowledge on almost any subject. Mike had friends all over the world that he mostly met through EAA and communicated with regularly. Mike had special friends Greg and Kay Parker of Geelong, Australia. Mike wrote articles for the Geelong Advertiser always posting his home as Oshkosh, WI. Mike worked in many areas in his full life, EAA, Veterans Service Officer for Green Lake County, Cab/Cabulance Driver and Bar manager. Mike had a great command of the English language, always had a story and could tell a joke with the best of them. Mike will be loved and remembered by the surviving members of his family, Sisters Colleen Kesting (Tom), Kass Bradley (Lynn Cortner), Maggie Doyle (Todd Haynes), Kelly Doyle-DeBruin (Steve), Brothers Tim (Amy Harris), Terry (Pam Gamberini), and Patrick. Step sons, John Nault (Tara) and Bob Nault (Lisa). Mike has many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews who will also remember him with love. Mike was preceded in death by his brothers Dennis and Kyran (KC), special cousins Joy & Jerry Nault and mother in law Lucille Kummers. A memorial service for Mike will be held Friday April 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, Rev. Paul Lidtke officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
