Michael Lavern Miller

October 1st, 1952 - May 1, 2012 Pops was like a wise man to us. His life experiences had given him the knowledge to give us his best advice, to help us if we had a problem, and to listen if we had to talk.He served in the U.S. Army as specialist 4 in the Division of the Ninth Medical Laboratory in South Vietnam and received the Army Commendation Medal for his time served thereHe could please an impossible crowd with his one-of-a-kind DJ sound and light show and could play a mean blues harp. He was an artist- whether it was on paper or Roller Coaster Tycoon or a computer screen- it was art. He loved back packing, being in harmony with nature and positive energy. He was all about friends and family and always had time to share what he had. He was a father, a grandfather, a neighbor, a friend, a man of his word. He always kept a promise and his spirit is alive with all of us. He is survived by his son Marcus Miller, daughter, Jennifer Miller, other family and friends.A celebration of his life will be Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at 6:00 pm at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside with Rev. Thomas McFarland officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 pm to the time of the celebration.
