Michael Ray Diener

Michael R. Diener, 57, of Oshkosh died at Aurora Medical Center on Monday, November 26, 2007 as a result of Pancreatic Cancer. He was born in Oshkosh on November 23, 1950, a son of Walter M. and Lorraine B. Meyer Diener. Michael married Eileen Brennand spending 23 years together. Michael was employed for 25 years with the U. S. Post Office and served his country in the U.S. Army as a Medic during the Vietnam War. He graduated from UW-Oshkosh and attended St. Peter Grade School and Oshkosh Lourdes High School. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Michael always looked forward to the special golfing and gambling trips to Biloxi, MS with his wife Eileen. Survivors include his mother, Lorraine Diener; his wife, Eileen Brennand; his Beagle, Sammy Diener; his sister, Susan (Charles Sackman) Drexler; his father and mother-in-law, George & Kathaleen Brennand; sisters-in-law, Barbara (Craig) Diener Blumer, Mary Wegener, Ellen Brennand, Kathy (Price) Zimmerman; brothers-in-law, Mike (Teri) Brennand, Patrick (DeAnn) Brennand; nephews, John Diener, Matthew Drexler, Scott and Joshua Brennand; nieces, Angela (Derek) Auer, Elizabeth Diener, Natalie Blumer, Sara and Rhea Brennand; friends, Terry Clark, Dick Thiele, and Dick Purtell. Michael is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter M. Diener, his brother, Walter H. Diener Jr.; brothers-in-law, Glen Drexler and Tom Brennand, and a nephew, Lee Brennand. Funeral services will be held at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Westside on Thursday November 29, 2007 at 7:00 PM with Fr. William Van De Kreeke officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to the time of service. Family and friends are invited to join the family at Lake View Memorial Park on Friday, November 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM for graveside services with military honors. A memorial has been established.
