Monika J. Nelson

Monika J. Nelson, 35 of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her residence on Wednesday, June 30, 2021. She was born on September 21, 1985, to Stephen and Jackie (Kent) Nelson in Oshkosh.

Monika graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 2005. After high school, she was employed by Lakeside Packaging Plus. Monika enjoyed life to the fullest! She was a loving woman who gave the best hugs and enjoyed shaking hands or giving a high five. She loved singing, running, animals, and watching The Little Mermaid.

She is survived by her parents, Stephen, and Jackie Nelson; siblings: Steve Nelson, Heidi Nelson, Tiffany (Dominic) Shaffer, and Nicholas Nelson; niece and nephews: Bryce, Isabelle, and Theodore Shaffer; favorite uncle: Jack Baldwin; bonus family, Kristine, David, Kylee, and Lydia Veith, as well as Tom and Kathy Mittelsteadt.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Bob and Genevieve Nelson, and Paul and Betty Kent; sisters: Crystal and Daisy Nelson; aunt: Isabelle “Izzie” Baldwin.

A funeral service for Monika will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. A private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. Casual attire is welcome at this event.
