Nathan David Van Doren

Nathan D. Red Van Doren, age 87, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Northpoint Medical and Rehab. He was born on October 26, 1928 to the late Earl and Harriet (Dickenson) Van Doren. He was married to Bernice Beson-VanDoren for 24 years. Red proudly served our country in the Marines. Red is survived by his wife, Bernice, Four children: David (Marta) Van Doren, Debbie (John) Jaworski, Gregory (Lynn) Van Doren and Donna (Eric) Heinzen; one son-in-law, Mark Lienhard, two step-children: Thomas Beson and Tammie Frost and her son, Collin; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, three brothers: Thomas, Lenard and Gene Jimmy Van Doren; one sister, Shirley (Barney) Filtz. He was preceded in death by one daughter Kathy Lienhard, two brothers: Earl and Richard Van Doren, and five sisters: Rose Spiath, twins: Darlene and Arlin, Helen and Elen.A Celebration of Life will be at 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home- Eastside, 402 Waugoo Ave., with Father Doug LeCaptain officiating. Friend and family may visit at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service. Military honors will be following the service.
