Nevada Irene Sharpless

Nevada Irene Sharpless, age 78, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at Lake Shore Manor in Oshkosh. Nevada was born on February 17, 1936 to Melvin and Rosella (Kifer) Wilt in Hampshire,WV. She was married to Elwood Sharpless SR. on July 7, 1952 in Glassport, PA. Nevada enjoyed being a foster home provider for over 20 years. She loved to help people with special needs whether young or old. Her home and kitchen was always open to everyone in need. She loved her family and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nevada is survived by her four sons, Donald of Oshkosh, Douglas (Dawn) of Pardeeville, WI, Elwood JR. (Jeanne - Friend) of Oshkosh, and Robert of Oshkosh; two daughters, Beverly (Larry) Stockinger of Oshkosh and Betty Lou (Mike) Bruss of Brownsville, WI; fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Elwood SR. A funeral service will be held for Nevada at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2015 Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-(Eastside) with Rev. Kenneth Hinz officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A special thanks to Vickie and staff of Lakeshore Manor of Oshkosh and New Generation/Hospice personnel for their outstanding care they provided to our mother over the past several years that made her stay feel as close at home. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Alzheimers Association, Fox Valley Outreach Office, 1535 Lyon Dr. Neenah, WI 54956.
