Norene Wolff

Norene H. Wolff, age 88, formerly of Oshkosh, passed away peacefully on January 1, 2025 at Oak Gardens Place in Altoona, WI.

Norene was born on February 23, 1936 in Oshkosh, WI, daughter of Benjamin and Laura (Schoess) Oles. She graduated from Oshkosh High school and was married to Otto E. Wolff on May 12, 1956.

Norene dedicated most of her life to the care and support of her family. Her great passion for most of her life was gardening, and a large portion of the back yard was taken up with her spectacular garden in her younger years. Her other passion later in life was investing. She might have become a broker or an investment advisor if she had been born in a time when women were encouraged to have careers other than the common traditional ones.

Norene is survived by her children, Andrew (Jayne) Wolff of Eau Claire, Amanda Wolff, and Jonathan Wolff of Oshkosh. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Otto.

The family wish to extend heartfelt thanks to all those who helped to make her last years comfortable: pastors Philip Pitt of Chippewa Falls and Paul Lidtke of Oshkosh, all of the kind and caring staff of Oak Gardens Place in Altoona, Interim Hospice, and Leanna and Jessalyn of Sequoia Medical Services for taking such good care of her in her final days.

A memorial service for Norene's family and close friends will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr., Oshkosh, on Monday, January 20 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Paul Lidtke of Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh, at a later date.
