Norma Emma Arndt

April 16, 1925 — November 27, 2017

Norma Emma (Heise) Arndt was born April 16,1925, in the township of Omro at the home of
William and Emma (nee Petsch) Heise. On June 7th of the same year she was baptized at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church by Pastor O.T. Hoyer. After receiving instructions in the doctrine of the Christian faith by Pastor Hoyer, Norma was confirmed. Her baptismal confirmation was September 6,1936. Her confirmation memory verse was "Be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of live." Rev. 2:10.
On May 4,1945, Carl W. Arndt and Norma E. Heise exchanged their marriage vows at Zion Ev. Lutheran Church. They managed a dairy farm in the township of Utica where they lived their married life.
Norma was a member of Zion Ev. Lutheran Church. An active member of the Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School for several years. She regularly attended worship services to hear God's word and receive the sacrament of Holy Communion.
A part of Norma's community life was being a member of Nekimi Brickette's, a Homemaker's
Club. She also enjoyed volunteering at Mercy Medical Center. She was employed at Plain View School where she served the children lunch and monitored their noon recess. Her family and grandchildren were a wonderful priority in her life.
The lord called Norma to her heavenly home on Monday, November 27, 2017. Norma attained the age of 92 years, seven months, and eleven days here on earth. In heaven there will be no end to her days.
The Lord who sets us in families gave Norma the following loved ones. Her husband, Carl, who preceded her in death on November 21,1992. A son, Warren, who also preceded her in death on September 11, 2014 and his wife Sandy of Fox Point, Wisconsin. A second son. Pastor Ken Arndt and his wife, Patty, of Roscoe Illinois, and their children, Chris of Hanover, Illinois, and Brian and his wife Cody of Round Rock, Texas. A daughter, Marilyn Potratz and her husband, Robert, and their children, Jacki Potratz of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Stacy and her husband, Nathan Brusius, of Savage, Minnesota, and Marek Potratz (special friend Micheile Steckhahn) of Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She was further blessed with six great-grandchildren: Aria Arndt, Sydney Arndt, Hunter Arndt, Mason Arndt, Camden Brusius and Claire Brusius.
A funeral service for Norma will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017, at Zion Lutheran Church-Town of Omro (5355 Cty Rd K) with Rev. Jud Krohn officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- (Westside) from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The redeemed body of our Christian sister will be laid to rest in Lake View Memorial Park on this 1st day of December in the year of our Lord 2017, there to await the glorious day of resurrection when the body will be raised imperishable and be reunited with the soul to live in the house of the lord forever.
