Norma J. Durkee, 73, of Oshkosh passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. She was born January 5, 1942 in Oshkosh the daughter of Norman and Jane Gibson Kleinschmit. Norma married Harlan Durkee on August 3, 1968, at Christ Lutheran Church.Norma was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She was a director on the Winnebago County Fair Board, 4-H Leader for 34 years, Life Member of Whitetails Unlimited, supported many other fish and wildlife organizations, avid bingo player, enjoyed camping, NASCAR, and thrift shopping, was always putting others ahead of herself and helped them whenever she could, but most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.Norma is survived by her husband, Harlan; two daughters, Tammy (Steven) Stark and Cynthia Collier; a son, Gary (Sherri) Durkee; 7 grandchildren, Cassandra Collier, Chad Durkee, Kyle Durkee, Carissa Durkee, Steve Stark, Justin Stark, and Nathan Stark; a great-grandson, Easton Miller; three sisters, Rosemary Ramminger, Roxane (Don) Schmidt and Kathleen Sina (Kirk Versteegh); a brother, George (Claire) Kleinschmit; sisters-in-law, Belva Goodacre, Linda Kleinschmit, Carleen Kleinschmit, and Sherry Durkee; brothers-in-law, Clifford (Marilyn) Durkee, Mardie (Joan) Durkee, Howard (Dee) Durkee and Al Stapleton. She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Scott Collier; sisters and brothers, Robert Kleinschmit, Julia Stapleton, Russell Kleinschmit, and John Kleinschmit; a sister-in-law, Roberta Hyler; and a brother-in-law, Lawrence Durkee.A funeral service for Norma is being held Sunday, February 8, 2015, at noon at Christ Lutheran Church, Rev. Jennifer Czarnota officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. and at the church Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until the service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.Normas family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff at the Fresenius Dialysis Center for their wonderful help and care.
