Norman Koplitz, 88, of the Town of Black Wolf died at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, on Sunday, January 27, 2008. Norman was born on January 23, 1920 in the Town of Nekimi the son of Joseph and Linda Nachtrab Koplitz. He married Ruth Abraham on June 28, 1941 in St. Johns Lutheran Church, Nekimi.Norman was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Nekimi, the Senior Saints, and was on the church council. He had been a dairy farmer for many years.Survivors include his wife, Ruth of the town of Black Wolf; two sons, Rev. Ronald G. (Mary Ellen) Koplitz of Tempe, AZ and Darrell W. (Bonnie) Koplitz of Fond du Lac; one sister, Marcella Leichtfuss of Fond du Lac; two grandchildren, Kelly (Brandon) Martin, Kollette Koplitz; and two great grandchildren, McKenna Martin and Tyler Martin.Norman was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gordon Koplitz; one brother-in-law, Lawrence Leichtfuss; and one sister-in-law, Lois Koplitz.The funeral service will be on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at 2:00 PM at St. Johns Lutheran Church, Nekimi (491 Old Oregon St Rd) with the Rev James R. Reiff officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Wednesday from Noon to the time of service.Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh.Normans family would like express their thanks to the staff at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home for the care he received.
