Norman Stormin Norman R. Kleinschmit, 89, of Oshkosh died on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at Eden Meadows. Norman was born on April 27, 1922 in Oshkosh the son of George and Ida Thiex Kleinschmit. Norman married Jane Elaine Gibson on June 7, 1941 in Oshkosh. Jane preceded him in death on January 13, 1981.Norman was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran and loved to dance, tell jokes and go to stock car races. Norman was a truck driver for Wisconsin Distributing, Badger Concrete Co., and Coca-Cola Co. and he owned the Wagon Wheel Bar. After his retirement Norman loved nothing more than hitting the road in his motorhome and heading out, whether it was to the County Fair for the week or Florida during the winter. He also thoroughly enjoyed going to the local auctions in search of that special find. In recent years you could always find him sitting in his favorite lawn chair, just watching the busy corner where he lived and visiting with the wonderful girls from Flyte Produce who would stop over every day.Survivors include daughters, Norma (Harlan) Durkee, Rosemary Ramminger, Kathleen (Kirk Digger Versteegh) Sina all of Oshkosh; Roxane (Donald) Schmidt of Neenah; sons, Robert (Linda) Kleinschmit of Neenah, George (Claire) Kleinschmit of Oshkosh; a brother, George (Violet) Kleinschmit of Oshkosh; 13 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a daughter-in-law, Carleen Kleinschmit of Oshkosh. Norman was preceded in death by his parents; wife Jane; sons, Russell and John Kleinschmit; daughter, Julia Kienast-Stapelton; grandson Dennis Kleinschmit and sister, Margaret Heideman.Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church (222 Church Ave.) on Friday September 2, 2011 at 11:30 AM with Rev. Jennifer Czarnota officiating. Family and friends may call at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at the Church on Friday from 10:30 AM to the time of service. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Park with Military Honors. A memorial has been established.
