Norman W. Abraham, 94, of Oshkosh died Friday April 24, 2009 at the Sterling House. He was born in Van Dyne, WI on May 14, 1914 a son of William and Margaret Nimmer Abraham. On August 15, 1936 he married Burnette Tabbert in Van Dyne, WI.Norman had been a farm hand; worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps; was a weaver at the Deltox Rug Co. in Oshkosh; and retired after 17 years in maintenance at Mercy Medical Center. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and had been a member of Lutheran Brotherhood at the church.He is survived by his wife of seventy-two years, Burnette Abraham of Oshkosh; sons, Robert Abraham of Manitowoc, WI and David (Judy) Abraham of Oshkosh; sister, Lillian Maas of Mankato, MN; four grandchildren, Quinn (Ane) Abraham, Valerie (Scott) Muller, and Chad Abraham all of Omaha, NE, and Brent Abraham of Verona, WI; eight great grandchildren, Skylar, Landon, Noelle, Shayla, Sawyer and Autumn Muller, Alysha and Kylene Abraham. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Abraham, and four sisters, Regina Ferdon, Agnes Frey, Margaret Yantz, and Adele Shade.Normans funeral will be Tuesday April 28, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church with Rev. Eric Quinney-Burnard officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside on Monday from 6-8 PM and at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 AM until the time of the funeral. A memorial to the Christ Lutheran Church has been established. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Sterling House for their care of Norman and Burnette.
