Norval M. Gander, age 88, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, May 28, 2021. She was born to the late James and Marion (Brockway) Tucker in Antigo on August 15, 1932.
Norval married Maynard Krause and together they had two children. Maynard and Norval were together until Maynard‘s passing in 1986. Norval married Leslie Gander on May 14, 1988, at First English Lutheran Church. They were together until Leslie‘s passing in 2003.
Norval spent her career working as a machinist at Square D. She enjoyed word search books and puzzles, watching game shows and soap operas on TV. She also enjoyed going fishing and traveling with her late husbands, Maynard and Leslie.
Norval is survived by her sister, Dolores Galligan; grandchildren: Fred (Lori) Muller, Joe (Sarah) Muller, and Amanda (Jay) Weitz; 11 great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husbands, Norval was preceded in death by her two children, Dean and Barbara Krause; siblings: Vern, Delbert, and James Tucker and Bernice LeRoy.
A funeral service for Norval will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at First English Lutheran Church, 1013 Minnesota Street with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. The burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Park. After the burial, all are invited back to First English Lutheran Church for a luncheon.
