Octavia Hildegard Hazen

Octavia H. Hazen, 91, of Oshkosh died Tuesday November 22, 2005 at the Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Fond du Lac on February 6, 1914 the daughter of Frank and Lena Neuschwander LaTour. She was married to Clarence Parsons; he was killed in World War II. She married Karl Patzlaff on December 20, 1943 in Oshkosh, he preceded her in death on September 27, 1965. She then was married to Earl L. Hazen on December 17, 1966. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1978.Octavia was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church. She had been employed by Oshkosh Manufacturing, the Boston Store, Buckstaff Co. and Brigham Stamping. She enjoyed bowling for 30 years, playing bingo, and playing cards with family.She is survived by two daughters, Judith Henke, and Gail (LeRoy) Wachholz, three sons, Clarence (Elaine) Parsons, David (Linda) Patzlaff, and Robert (Bonnie) Patzlaff, daughter/in/law, Jean Parsons, a sister, Cecelia Wohlt, nineteen grandchildren, and eighteen great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Parsons, a brother, Kurt LaTour, three sisters, Jean Matiff, Felisitis Thompson, and Violia Schaefer, and by a son/in/law, Willard Henke.A memorial gathering will be Saturday November 26, 2005 from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home – Eastside. Inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the Mercy Medical Center Hospice and to Rose Goyke.
