Ora Mae G. Booras

Ora Mae G. Booras, age 87, died peaceably at her home she and her husband built 50 years ago on Tuesday, February 15, 2011. She was born in Gillett, WI on Aug. 31, 1923, a daughter of the late Philip and Lydia Schneider Sieck. Ora Mae and Gust Booras were married in Gillett on February 14, 1948 and celebrated 63 years of marriage.Ora Mae graduated from Gillett High School, attended Carroll College and completed her studies at Oshkosh Business College. She retired from Evergreen Retirement Community. Ora Mae overcame her disabilities, raised two children, worked hard and lived a fulfilling life. She was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church.Survivors include her husband, Gust L. Booras, Oshkosh; two sons, P. Scott Booras, Oshkosh and James (Pene) Booras. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Dorothy Stenz.Funeral services will be held at Martin Luther Lutheran Church (1526 Algoma Blvd.) on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Nathan Ericson officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial to Martin Luther Lutheran Church has been established.
