Orville David Zwicky, age 100, of Oshkosh passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Evergreen. He was born in Neenah on March 10, 1918 to the late Irvin and Margaret (Cowling) Zwicky. Orville married Helen Bredendick on August 7, 1940, and their marriage was blessed with three children. He served in the Army, and then returned to Neenah to work at Kimberly Clark where he worked for 42 years. In addition to working at Kimberly Clark, he also farmed throughout his adult life.
He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and square dancing.
Orville is survived by his daughter, Darlene (Gary) Bruce, and his son, Daryl (Kathy) Zwicky. His grandchildren: Eric and Craig Bruce, Michelle (Gary) Woods, Kevin (Sara) Zwicky, Tara (Damian) Dettlaff, and Kelly (Shane) Finch. He is further survived by five great-grandchildren; his brother: Marlin (Michelle) Zwicky; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; his son: Dennis; his sister: Gwen (Norman) Schmeling; his sister-in-law: Connie Zwicky.
A funeral service will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 11:30 am with Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Military honors will take place at the funeral home at the conclusion of the funeral service. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park
