Orville F. Retzlaff, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born on September 12, 1929 to Otto and Dora (Stollfuss) Retzlaff Jr. in the Town of Nepeuskun, WI. He married the love of his life, Janice Garb on April 24, 1955 in Ripon, WI.As a child growing up, Orville attended Spring Brook School through grade school and went on to graduate from Berlin High School in May 0f 1947 on the school honor roll.Orville had m any different jobs throughout life. From working at the Pickett Canning Factory, Wisconsin Spring and Axle in Oshkosh, the Ford garage in Ripon, Case Machinery Dealer, Bohn Implement, Green Giant Co. and was in partnership with his son Brian Retzlaff Trucking and that family run business is still going with Brian and his two sons Paul and Kevin. He always had a job to support his family no matter what until he retired in September of 1991 from David White as a tool and die maker.Orville enjoyed bowling, shooting pool, throwing horseshoes, driving and pulling tractors, farming, camping, and especially playing sheepshead. He also loved his family and spending time with them.Orv is survived by his wife, Janice; children, Gary (Julie), Randy (Becky), Dennis (Tammy), Greg (Lori), Brian (Julie), Jerry (Tammy) Retzlaff, and Michelle (Thomas) Schulz; grandchildren, Michael (Jen) Jennifer (sig other Keenan), Paul (Becky), Kevin (significant other Sam), Brittany, Ryan, Kyle (Kim), Kasey, Derek, Cody, and Jared; and great grandchildren Kenzie, Kaitlynn, Brady, Evelyn, Maverick, Alexis, Jayden, Jessica, Lindsey, Anthony, and Carter. He is further survived by his sister, Kathy Lang; and brothers, Carleton (Pat) and Donald (Caroline) Retzlaff.He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Dora; and in laws.A funeral service for Orville will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Grace English Lutheran Church (384 Oak St. Berlin, WI) with Rev. Scott Piper officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Nepeuskun Cemetery.The family would like to send a special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and the rest of the staff in the Aurora ICU unit for all the kindness that was shown to their family.
