Orville Henry Keller

December 16, 1928 — March 4, 2010

Orville Keller, 81, passed away Thursday, 3/4/10, at Mercy Medical Center. Orv was born December 16th, 1928, to Henry and Mary Keller (Cook) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. In 1946, Orv entered the Naval Service and served in Guam. On September 23rd, 1950, he married Patricia Whitty at First English Lutheran Church, the Reverend E.A. Koch officiating. Orv spent 42 years working for Kimberly Clark in Neenah as a Millwright. He retired in 1989 and he and his wife built a retirement home on Lake Alpine, where he enjoyed fishing and running the weed cutter. He then moved back and spent his remaining years in Oshkosh. Orville had many hobbies, including photography, gardening, and landscaping. His big love was the Sheldon Nature Preserve; he spent many happy hours helping out there. He was also a First Responder for the town of Algoma and served time on the park's committee. Orv enjoyed many happy hours spending time with his family, dogs, and landscaping his homes. This September, Pat and Orv would have celebrated 60 years together. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister (Vera Bartelt); one brother (Richard Keller) and one grandson (Cory Keller). He is survived by his wife Pat; his sons, Dale (Chris) Keller, Dean (Patti) Keller and a daughter Dawn (Robby) Robinson; ten grandchildren; a sister, Lois (Howie) Last, Jeanine (Dale) Lenz, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his very special dog, Snickers. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the First English Lutheran Church (1013 Minnesota - Oshkosh) with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to the service. Interment will be at Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in the Sheldon Nature Preserve and First English Lutheran Church.
