Orville Radig

Ssgt O. Radig Army Engineers WWII, 94, of Oshkosh, passed away on August 20, 2015, at Bethel Home. He was born on July 15, 1921, the son of the late Albert and Frieda (Juedes) Radig. Orville married Nina McGee on May 7, 1949. She preceded him in death on August 11, 1995. Orville was a carpenter with Discher Bros. for 40 years until his retirement and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. He loved carving decoys, was a WWII Army veteran and life member with the Florian Lampert VFW Post 1908.Orville is survived by his sons, Michael Radig, of Pitkin, LA and Richard (Connie) Radig, of Omro; three grandchildren, Michael (Becky), Curtis (Ashley) and Samantha (Ben); a brother, Donald Radig; and a sister, Winifred (Gene) Brewer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina; many brothers and sisters; and other loved ones.Funeral services for Orville will be held at 12:30 pm on Monday, August 24, 2015, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, the Rev. John Worzala-Dumke officiating. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 until the service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park.Orvilles family would like to thank the staff at Bethel Home for the loving care they provided.
