Orville Walter Schultz

Orville W. Schultz, 87, of Oshkosh died on Thursday, February 26, 2009 at his residence with his family by his side. Orville was born November 2, 1921 in Van Dyne a son of the late Walter and Emma Yanke Schultz. Orville married Clara Klotzbuecher on January 3, 1942 in Oshkosh. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church. Orville had worked for many years and retired from Rockwell International. He was a veteran of WWII receiving the Bronze Star. Orville was a member and past treasurer of the Fox Valley Gun Club. He was also a member of the Retired Officers Club and the Disabled American Veterans. Orville is survived by his wife Clara of Oshkosh; a daughter Patricia (Dave) Hewitt of Lodi, WI; two grandchildren John Gruenenfelder (fiance Kari Norton) and Jana Gruenenfelder; four great-grandchildren Ashley (Pawel) Pilarowski, Ty Gruenenfelder, Samantha Reigstad, and Brianna Otto; and great-great-grandchildren Jayden Gruenenfelder and a great granddaughter due March 2, 2009 all of DeForest, WI; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son Ronald Schultz; brother, Gordon (and his wife, Anna Marie) Schultz; sisters/in/law, Viola (and her husband, Orville) Klotzbuecher and Marcella (and her husband, Duffy) Meyer. Funeral service for Orville will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at First English Lutheran Church (1013 Minnesota Street) with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 1:00 p.m. to the service time. Interment will be Monday at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.Memorials may be directed to First English Lutheran Church and Affinity Visiting Nurses Association.The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to his caregiver, Angeline and to Pat and Susan from the Hospice.
