Oscar R. Buhrow , 93, of La Crosse, WI. formerly of Oshkosh passed away on March 25, 2010. He was born July 3, 1916 to Ernst and Bertha (Meilke) Buhrow. Oscar married Sylvia (Sternitske) on May 28, 1938. Oscar farmed in the Borth WI area for many years. He was one of the last threshers of grain. He worked at the Universal Foundry in Oshkosh for 23 years. After retiring he received a 25 year pin for working at the Senior Citizens Meal site. Oscar was a member of the First Baptist Temple Church. Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Sylvia of La Crosse; one daughter, Virginia (Robert) Fude of Waupaca; two sons, Andrew (Nancy) of La Crosse and Timothy of Oshkosh. He had 20 grandchildren;25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. One brother, Clifford (Shirley); and three sisters Wilhelmina Wagner of Shawano; Ethel Belfueil of Omro; Alice (Bill) Gentry of Waupun. Oscar was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Philip; 7 brothers, William, Fred, Edward, Wesley, Carl, Harvey, Alvin; 2 sisters, Alma Moon and Caroline Crouch.Oscar had a strong faith in Jesus Christ his Lord.Visitation and the service will be at the First Baptist Temple. Visitation will be Thursday, April 1st. from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The service will be at 11:00 a.m.Pastor Andrew K. Buhrow will officiate
