Patricia MacDonald, 80, of Oshkosh died at home with family at her side on Wednesday, October 25, 2006. She was born in Oshkosh, on June 21, 1926, a daughter of Edward and Ruth Gibson Manross. Patricia married Donald G. MacDonald on August 12, 1950 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Oshkosh.Pat was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, and earned a B.S. degree from Marquette University in 1948. Pat was very active with her church, as a teacher, volunteer, former church trustee, Principal of the grade school, Aquinas Club President, was the first Director of Religious Education, and served as a Eucharist Minister. In 1998 St. Peters Parish bestowed Pat and Don with the St. Patrick Service Award. She spent many volunteer hours at Fr. Carrs Place 2B, serving as Secretary/ Treasurer. She also worked along side her husband at St. Vincent DePaul. Pat enjoyed spending time with many friends playing Bridge. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She always had a smile on her face and brightened many lives. Her entire life was dedicated to others, and she will be dearly missed.Survivors include her husband, Donald; three sons, Thomas (Amy) MacDonald, of Vienna, VA; Tim MacDonald, of Wichita, KS; John MacDonald, of St. Louis Park, MN; two daughters, Kathy (Steve) Zwicky, of Oshkosh; Peggy (Randy) Binder, of Oshkosh; three sisters, Betsy Hein, of Atlanta, GA; Sue (Bob) Nordhaus, of Massillon, OH; Ruthann (Don) Page, of Appleton; 8 grandchildren, Eric Zwicky, Christopher Zwicky, Matthew Binder, Joseph Binder, Andrew MacDonald, Robert MacDonald, James MacDonald, and Peter MacDonald. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother-in-law, Frank Hein. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church (435 High Ave.) on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11:00 am, with Fr. Martin P. Carr, Msgr. Paul Koszarek, and Fr. Robert Kollath officiating. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 9:30 am to the time of Mass. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Association- Wisconsin Chapter 2505 N. 124th St. Suite 105, Brookfield, WI 53005.The family thanks Heartland Hospice for the care and compassion given to Pat and her family
