Patricia Ann Rossing

Mrs. Patricia Pat Ann Anderson Rossing, 82, passed away in Oshkosh, Wisconsin on March 24, 2011. She was born May 4, 1928 and was raised by loving Norwegian grandparents, Lena and Lars Wick in Monroe, Wisconsin. Pat married Victor Bernell Rossing from Argyle, Wisconsin on April 17, 1949. They resided in Chapel Hill, NC, Racine, WI, and then moved to Oshkosh in 1960.She was a member of First English Lutheran Church for 51 years and many of her cherished friends and activities revolved around her faithful service to Gods people. Pat was involved in the ELCA Women of the Church, teaching hundreds of children and youth, Church Council, and womens circles. In 1972, the Neighborhood Center began under her direction, where she led travel tours, meals, and activities for her senior friends.With master communication skills and a magnetic personality, Patricia enjoyed meeting people through her positions as an interviewer at the University of Chicago - Audits of Great Britain, U.S. Bureau of the Census, and the National Opinion Research Center. She also was a member of Oshkoshs Antique Club and 20th Century Club.Patricia is survived by her husband of 61years, Victor, and three children: Rhonda Marie Tedlie - Menasha, John Victor Rossing (Catharine) - Oshkosh, and Mary Elizabeth Jensen (Thomas) - Appleton. Pat nurtured six grandchildren, the loves of her life: Adrian Gabriel Elzey, Martha Elizabeth Jensen, Chloe Sophia Elzey, Ingrid Victoria Elzey, Monika Isabel Elzey, and Christian Lars Jensen.Visitation will be held at First English Lutheran Church at 1013 Minnesota Avenue, Oshkosh on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 and a luncheon at the church at 5:00.Inurnment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Argyle, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, please consider gifts to Nature Conservancy or the American Lung Foundation.
